Zanaflex (Tizanidine Hydrochloride) may cause the following side effects: sleepiness, dry mouth, decreased blood pressure, heartburn, drowsiness, anxiety, increased sweating, back pain, blurred vision, unusual speech patterns, and abnormal liver functions.

If you experience any gastrointestinal issues, you may take this medication with food or milk. Drowsiness may occur when Zanaflex (Tizanidine Hydrochloride) is used, so it is wise to exercise caution when operating an automobile or any heavy machinery while taking Zanaflex (Tizanidine Hydrochloride). Zanaflex (Tizanidine Hydrochloride) should be stored in an area that is cool and dry, should not be exposed to sunlight, and should be kept out of the reach of children. The strength of Zanaflex (Tizanidine Hydrochloride) is decreased by sunlight. If you forget to take a dose of medication, take it as soon as you remember to do so, unless it is almost time to take the next dose. If that is the case, omit the dose that you missed and continue with your regular dosing schedule. You should never take more than one dose of Zanaflex (Tizanidine Hydrochloride) at time. Let your physician know right away if you experience blurred vision, more muscle pain, weakness or tenderness.
