Look around, nature provides the proper foods to best support our wellness during all seasons. At this time greens are every where and fruits are beginning to appear. This summer make good use of these abundant nutritional cooling foods. Here are a couple of recipes to help.

Watercress Soup
1 bunch of watercress
1/2 bunch of scallions
1/2 cup of fresh peas
2 bunches of parsley
1/2 cup mushrooms sliced
lemon juice
miso

Bring 4 cups of water to boil. Clean and chop scallions and watercress. Add scallions (greens too!), peas, parsley and mushrooms to the boiling water. Cook five minutes. Turn off the heat. Add watercress, lemon and miso to taste.

Gingered Fruit Salad
2 cups orange juice
1 lime
2 Tbsp grated ginger
2 cups fresh strawberries
1 honeydew melon

Combine orange juice, lime and ginger in large bowl and tight fitting lid. Add halved strawberries and melon cubes. Seal and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Berries.

Several weeks of summer sun and rain have coaxed blossoms to become berries. Berries are a wonderful and cherished fruit of summertime. They are perfect for making beverages, pies or berry dumplings, adding to breakfast grains or eating right off the bush. Berries are also some of the most medically beneficial foods that nature has to offer. They procure a wide range of health benefits and are easily incorporated into ones diet due to their beauty, taste and culinary versatility.

Delicious and plentiful in the summertime berries are low in calories, fat free, rich in fiber, high in iron and antioxidant vitamins A and C. In addition they contain beneficial phytochemical that have been shown to lower the production of LDL cholesterol associated with heart and artery disease and ellagiac acid which prevents the initiation of cancer cells and inhibits the growth of cancerous tumors in the liver, lungs and esophagus.

There are two kinds of important dietary fiber and berries contain both. Soluble fiber which lowers LDL cholesterol that is associated with heart and artery disease is found in the flesh of the berry while insoluble fiber which regulates the bowel and assists in the prevention gastrointestinal cancer is found in the seeds. Researchers credit diets high in fiber with preventing cancer, heart disease, and hemorrhoids. In addition fiber soaks up liquid in the stomach like a sponge making you feel fuller which prompts you to consume fewer calories and less fat.

A cup of most berries contains about as much fiber as 2 slices of whole wheat bread and less than 100 calories. Blackberries rate highest for fiber content. With 4 grams per cup their fiber content is equal to that of 1 cup of cooked oatbran! One cup of strawberries contains a full days allowance of vitamin C, the antioxidant linked to prevention and delayed onset of major degenerative diseases of aging including cataracts, cardiovascular disease and cancer.

The predominant sugar that gives berries their sweetness is the natural sugar fructose. This sugar and how it is metabolized differs from common table sugar (sucrose) and is safe for diabetics. Eating berries is a sweet alternative to other rich, sugary, commercial foods that are popular in summer. Instead of ice cream blend berries into low-fat yogurt, or puree the fruit and freeze into popsicles.

Berries offer a delicious and natural way to add fiber, iron, and beneficial vitamins and anti-cancer agents to our diet. They are delicious and sweet and easily metabolized. So in addition to the beauty they add to foods, their delicious sweetness and cooling effects add significant health benefits to the simple pleasure of enjoying summers fruit and eat to your health!

Purchasing cheap drugs without a prescription is secure, easy and safe at our reliable online pharmacy. You may economize a lot of time, energy, money.

The rising cost of prescription medication is of great concern to many United States residents. This isn’t a new problem. This is a growing problem just like the increasing number of people without enough insurance. Prescription medications are expensive, and many people are looking for cheap alternatives. Prescription medications like these are not a luxury. Many times they save lives and help people have a better quality of life. They choose cheap generic medications.

What, if any, differences exist between brand-name and generic prescription drugs?
Have you ever wondered why there are two signature lines on your doctor’s prescription order? The small print beneath one line reads “product selection permitted,” while the other says something to the effect of “dispense as prescribed.”

So, whether the physician indicates only a specific prescription brand should be filled, or allows the possibility of alternatives, is determined by the signature’s location on the prescription form. The manufacturers of brand name drugs, of course, hold that their products out perform generic medications. Manufacturers of generic medications tell you that there is no difference in the two.

What is the truth?
Brand name medications as opposed to generic drugs have the same active ingredients. If the same dose of that active ingredient is given for the same intended use, and the same method of administration is used at the same strength, then the two also have the same risks and side effects.

The price difference between generic and brand name drugs stems from the fact that research, development, testing, patent, and marketing costs have to be recouped by the makers of the brand name drug. The brand name of a drug can only be used by the manufacturer who originally developed it. That manufacturer is the only one who can sell that medicine that they developed and tested for a certain period of time.

If a generic drug company has permission by law to manufacture the medication as well, they don’t have to put the same amount of money into manufacturing and testing of the medication. Although the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires drug manufacturers to do efficacy tests to be sure active ingredients are properly absorbed and can be used, preliminary testing and development research expenses aren’t required for generic drug companies.

Is there any difference?
Also, after the patent on brand name medication has expired, another generic drug manufacturer may apply to the FDA for permission to manufacture a generic version of it. When many companies apply for permission to manufacture the generic drug, there is greater competition for the generic drug pricing. The end result is a cheaper generic version.

Generic drugs are required by the FDA to perform at the same level as brand names, and both types of prescription drug are tested for efficacy. Generic drugs work just as quickly and have the same strength or efficacy as compared to the brand name drugs. The FDA holds the manufacturers of generic drugs to the same quality control standards as brand name manufacturers.

Apart from the price, there is no real difference between brand name and generic prescription drugs. If this is the case, why would a physician prescribe a much more expensive brand name medication instead of a less expensive generic?

Generic drugs may look different from their brand name counterparts, because while the generic drug company must use the same active ingredient as the name brand drug, it can use different inactive ingredients. Inert ingredients are ones that do no effect the way the medication works, for example, the binding agent, food coloring, or flavorings. Occasionally, an inactive part of the drug may have incidental side effects in certain people, or in combination with something else the person has taken. In such cases, physicians might specify only the branded medication and not the generic drug.

To summarize, there is just not really any difference between brand name medications and generic medications. Price is the only difference. If your doctor does not prohibit the use of generics, they are a wise choice. Choosing a non-brand prescription can be economical and you get a comparable medicine that’s just as good.
